Life Story

This page is still in development, as is my life story in general, but check back in a few weeks… I might have my life organized by then. But no promises.

Short story, I’m an Indiana University graduate (Phi Beta Kappa, BA Studio Art, Certificates in Art Education and Liberal Arts + Management, high academic distinction, and general honors). My favorite classes were Typography, Book Arts (in Venice), Textile Design, and Renaissance Anatomy and Botany. I’m also halfway through a certificate in Applied Computer Science which I probably won’t finish, and someday (after 2012, if the world hasn’t ended yet) I hope to study Human-Computer Interaction Design (because my heart rate increases at the sound of the words, “information architecture”, “cognitive psychology”, “user-centered design”, “ergonomics”, “interaction design”).

I’m a graphic designer at ChaCha, and I feel really blessed to begin my career with a huge deal company that is changing the way the world gets information on the go.  I’m completely loving the work environment, vision and mission, and people — it’s pretty much an uncannily perfect fit for me and my professional goals. And the only thing keeping me in Indiana.

Mantra: Rustic Elegance

Brands that speak to me: Nike ACG, Jeep, Diet Coke, Sam Adams, Merrel, Banana Republic, Twitter, SmartWool

While you’re into me, though, you should check out my online portfolio and another blogging project I’m working on too.
