50% chance I’ll be quitting one job.

50% chance I’ll be losing the other job.

50% chance I’ll also be losing my car.

What a joyful time of year.

  1. Having just completed a year of job searching that took me coast to coast and several places in between, I know the fear you facing, and I know what it can do to a person. In the event that you lose the other job, I wish you the best of luck in the quest to find something both enjoyable and financially rewarding.

About a year ago, one of my readers recommended a book that I found to be very insightful: Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. The author was a professor at the University of Chicago who spent years studying what types of things made people most happy with their lives.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  2. Thanks for the lead, 2am. This looks like a really interesting author. I requested the audio copy from the library.
